A Culinary Artist

I’m passionate about the rich intersection of food, culture, and nature. With a deep love for home cooking, I explore the history of gastronomy, nutrition,

and folklore to uncover how our culinary traditions have evolved.

 I express my creativity through making and collecting artisanal foods, while my art and photography capture the beauty of food and nature. Through these pursuits, I celebrate the timeless traditions that connect us to the earth

and one another.

My story

I’m from the heart of Transylvania, Romania, and my love for cooking has been with me for as long as I can remember. With over a decade of experience working in restaurants in both Romania and the UK, I’ve honed my skills as a chef and manager, always striving to bring a unique, artistic approach to the kitchen. As the owner and founder of Dayums Nomadic, I believe that food is more than just flavour - it’s deeply connected to its source, and I’m passionate about creating dishes that reflect that.

"My food and art are inspired by a personal fantasy - a blend of memories, stories, and a vision of a utopian world. I dream of a reality where folklore, spirituality, art, and science exist in perfect balance, untouched by destruction. A world where ancient wisdom and modern ambition evolve together, where peasants with their deep-rooted knowledge of existence stand alongside intellectuals shaping the future. I feel we lost that chance, but through food and art, I want to bring that vision to life.

 

Our menus are built on the familiar flavours of Romania, but the inspiration comes from all over the world. I imagine myself as a nomadic merchant and artisan, presenting this menu in a world where ancestral knowledge is still valued - where culture, hospitality, and creativity merge in an experience that goes beyond food.

Through these menus, I hope we can learn together, appreciate what nature gives us, and use food as a bridge between imagination and reality."
